In a chilling case from Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, a 48-year-old man named Ranveer Singh Yadav was murdered by his own wife and son, with the help of a close relative. To cover up the crime, the family dumped his body on the Bundelkhand Expressway on the night of May 3rd, hoping it would be run over by vehicles and dismissed as an unidentified hit-and-run accident. The motive behind the brutal killing was Ranveer’s chronic alcoholism and his tendency to sell off family property to fund his addiction, which led to frequent domestic disputes. On the night of the murder, following a heated argument, his wife Vineeta, their son Harsh, and a relative named Gurjit attacked the intoxicated Ranveer with an axe and an iron rod. Despite their elaborate plan to mislead the investigation, the police successfully cracked the case within 72 hours by tracking mobile phone locations and analyzing CCTV footage, which showed the trio transporting the body on a motorcycle.
