A tragic incident has unfolded in Bengaluru where a 47-year-old woman from Thrissur, Kerala, was brutally assaulted and sexually abused, eventually succumbing to her injuries after being moved to a hospital in Thrissur. The victim had traveled to Bengaluru on April 17 to work at a stray dog shelter run by the accused, Deepak Krishnan, also a Malayali, after being promised a monthly salary of ₹40,000. According to the police FIR and the victim’s husband, Shinto, the assault occurred on May 3 when the woman expressed her desire to quit the job due to Deepak’s inappropriate behavior. The accused allegedly kicked her in the chest and repeatedly struck her head against a wall, leaving her unconscious and in a critical state. Even more chillingly, an audio clip has surfaced where the accused reportedly admits to the assault and callously remarks that they can “deal with the rest” after she dies. While the accused remains at large, both Karnataka and Kerala police have intensified their search for Deepak Krishnan, who is also under scrutiny for his criminal background and previous connections.
