Hero Dog ‘Thomichan’ Saves 15-Year-Old from Cobra

In a remarkable display of loyalty and bravery, a pet dog named Thomichan saved the life of a 15-year-old boy, Jobin Jacob Abraham, and his family from a venomous king cobra in Changanassery. While the children were playing near a football ground by their house, a large cobra emerged from a hole and was about to attack when Thomichan and his fellow canine companions surrounded the snake. Thomichan courageously engaged the cobra, eventually biting its head and killing it, but unfortunately suffered multiple venomous bites in the process. Within hours, the dog began showing severe symptoms like foaming at the mouth and losing consciousness. Despite initial doubts about his survival and the high cost of anti-venom treatment, the family rushed him to a specialized veterinary hospital where he received ten vials of anti-venom. Thanks to the family’s quick action and the dog’s resilience, Thomichan has made a miraculous recovery and is now celebrated as a local hero for putting his life on the line to protect his owners.
