This video outlines a ritual intended to remove “Shathru Dosha” (harmful effects from enemies) and protect oneself from the ill intentions of others, whether they are relatives, neighbors, or deceptive friends. The ritual should be performed on a Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday during the evening twilight (Sandhya time) after lighting a traditional lamp and praying. The practitioner requires four items: a solid piece of Asafoetida (Kayam), common camphor (Karppooram), a piece of white thread, and a small scrap of clean new cloth. To perform the ritual, one must first circle the piece of Kayam around their body from head to foot seven times while praying to the Goddess to remove all enmity and obstacles, followed by repeating the process with the camphor. These items are then tied into a small bundle using the white cloth and thread, circled three times around the head, and finally taken outside to be burned in the south or west direction of the property in a spot where people do not walk. This act is believed to redirect any negative energy or “evil eye” back to its source, bringing peace, financial improvement, and mental relief to the practitioner’s family.
