Tharuni Sachdev, widely remembered by Malayali audiences for her charming performance as Ammukutty in the film Vellinakshatram, left an indelible mark with her very first movie. Playing the role of Prithviraj’s daughter, she won hearts through her playful acting and the popular song “Kukkuru Kukkukurukkan.” Her talent was so evident that fans and critics alike predicted a bright future for her in the film industry, believing she would grow up to portray many more significant characters.
Tragically, Tharuni’s life was cut short at the age of 14 in a plane crash that also claimed her mother’s life. Before the fateful journey, she had met with her friends and jokingly remarked about the possibility of not seeing them again. She even reportedly sent a message to her friends asking what they would do if the plane crashed before her phone was switched off.
